The Instructional Division administers Fall and Spring Soccer fielding about 30-40 teams and anywhere from 300-500 soccer players depending on the season. The Division relies heavily on volunteers to be successful.The Coaches are all parent volunteers. In that light, it is essential for our parents to take an active role in the coaching, managing and organization of every team. TOFSC supplements the Coaching Staff with paid instructors to help with skills training.
FeesThe fees paid for Fall/Spring Soccer go towards field rental from the City, fees for the officiating staff, guest/expert trainers, uniforms, equipment, and FYSA membership (which insures the club/coaches/players from liabilities associated with the sport).
Quality versus Quantity
Successful teams in the TOFSC Instructional Division are not those teams that win every game by a landslide.
Certainly every player would like to win; however, our emphasis is on learning to play soccer, playing the sport correctly, playing on a team, and sportsmanship. Learning how to score goals an how to defend goals are much more important than how many goals – quality versus quantity.
